Is my quiz video uploaded to a server?

No. Unlike the other tools on this site, the Quiz Video Maker runs entirely in your browser. Frames are drawn on a canvas and encoded to MP4 locally, so neither your text nor your background image ever leaves your device.

Which aspect ratios can I export?

Five: 2:3 Tall (1080x1620), 3:2 Wide (1620x1080), 1:1 Square (1080x1080), 9:16 Vertical (1080x1920) and 16:9 Widescreen (1920x1080). Every ratio keeps a 1080px short side. 9:16 is the default and suits TikTok, Shorts and Reels.

What happens to a background image that does not match the ratio?

It is scaled to cover the frame and the overflowing edges are cropped, so the image is never stretched out of shape. The tool tells you in advance how much will be cropped and whether the image will be upscaled.

Why does the page need a modern browser?

Encoding MP4 in the browser uses WebAssembly with SharedArrayBuffer, which needs a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. If your browser does not support it, the page will say so instead of failing silently.

How the Quiz Video Maker works

Pick an aspect ratio, type your question and answers, and mark the correct one. The preview redraws as you type, and the scrubber lets you jump to any second — including the end, where the correct answer blinks.

When you press Generate MP4, the page draws every frame on a canvas and encodes them to H.264 with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. That means the whole job happens on your machine: no upload, no queue, no 15-minute file expiry like the other tools here. It also means a long video takes a while — a 35-second clip at 30 fps is 1050 frames.

Choosing a background

Backgrounds are scaled to cover the frame, so a portrait photo dropped into a widescreen video gets cropped rather than squashed. The tool works out how much will be lost and whether the image has to be enlarged, and tells you before you export. For the sharpest result, use an image at least as large as the output size.
